The Wood restaurant was great. It is pricey, but the food quality is amazing. We were wonderfully hosted, however table service was quite slow (they seemed slightly short on staff) However it was great and we will be back. It was a perfect lunch in Hunter Valley. The food was impressive and all the ingredients were super fresh. All staff were very welcoming too.
Very nice pizza and great atmosphere super busy over Easter but staff were on their game well worth going here

We had dinner at The Wood last night and thoroughly enjoyed the banquet menu. The barramundi and slow cooked lamb were standouts. The restaurant itself was beautiful, lots of plants provided a relaxed but elegant feel. Service was relaxed but prompt and when we had gift card drama (best restaurants) the manager rectified it in no time with minimal fuss. Extensive local and international wine list. I'd definitely go back! Thank you for making my birthday dinner a wonderful one!
