Nestled in the heart of Hunter Valley, this restaurant evokes mixed feelings from diners. While some praise its stunning ambiance and attentive service, and highlight dishes like the short rib and pumpkin ravioli, others find the offerings underwhelming and the service inconsistent. Long wait times and noise levels detract from the experience, with reports of tasteless entrees dampening enthusiasm. Despite its beautiful settings and occasional exceptional dishes, many recommend exploring alternatives for a more satisfying meal. Overall, the restaurant remains a gamble, promising delightful moments yet frequently falling short of expectations.

We had a wonderful experience at this beautiful restaurant in Spicers. We opted for the Greedy Menu, which allowed us to sample a variety of dishes, and everything was delicious! We also tried the 48-day dry-aged T-bone steak, and it was truly the best steak I've ever had! Yes, it came at an extra cost, making it a bit pricey, but it was absolutely worth it! We can't wait to return to Hunter next time. Oh, and the se... View all feedback.
What User dislikes about Eremo:
I've been charged $100 cancellation fee even though I booked a table hours ago. I called and politely asked for some leniency policy but was denied. Do not book unless you are 100% going to be there. The lady told me that the kitchen orders certain amounts for tables but I find it hard to believe that they have ordered within hours of a booking. A beautiful setting with attentive and helpful staff and incredible food. We loved Eremo. We dined here on a Saturday night. The bar has a great outdoor space with a beautiful view over the surrounding valley and bushland, so it was perfect for enjoying a pre dinner cocktail. We were originally sat in a table towards the back of the restaurant (which was fine), however a family with two small children soon arrived and we asked the staff if they would be OK discreetly move us to another table in the (quieter) front end of the restaurant. The staff were only too happy to oblige and we had a spot next to an open windows which provided lots of fresh air and great views. The food was excellent. The lamb was cooked perfectly and we ordered some sides including broccoli and roasted rosemary potatoes. The serving of potatoes was enormous! All in all we loved this spot and I'd highly recommend it.
We dined out on the terrace (without a booking on New Years Day on a beautiful summer evening and it was overall a great experience. We had the bread sticks with Ricotta and honey (was our favourite dish! with arancinis and pizza, and the food was delicious! They have a great back yard where the kids can safely run around (or roll down the hill… Was a lovely evening for us.
We turned up on a Weekday, week before Easter. No booking and was accommodated for. Many other locations unfortunately were not accepting walk ins today which was completely understandable with so many staff shortages. We were glad to have found this place, the lounge, dining and terrace area were beautiful and quaint. Food-wise we ordered a light lunch, serving were generous and tasty. The presentation was unique. The pizza was beautifully seasoned. We were on the terrace area which had a great view, with wildlife of ducks and kangaroos grazing in the distance. Would not recommend sitting on the terrace if flies bother you though as it is an indoor outdoor area. They were out in full force today. Not a downside as they are plenty of other areas and if they wanted to they can close the windows
1st Visit Back In 3 Years. Awesomely consistent.
Dishes are very unique and interesting. Had the carbonara that looks like udon but is hollow inside, not jelat at all but is abit too salty. The lamb loin is super tender. Dessert raffaello is the first time I tried it, very well balanced not too sweet. Price per person: $60–80 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Rafaello
