Stay away from this former great restaurant. The landlady is rude, the management is poor, and the customer service is lacking. They won't even make eye contact and there are always lines at the bar. We didn't even stay for a drink, let alone a meal. View all feedback.

Great atmosphere nice eating and friendly people, we had a brilliant night out. we look forward to a visit.
My first time here, I visited with some work colleagues who've been working from home for a while so it was nice to get together. There was a little bit of weirdness when we asked if we could move tables to a sunnier area and I should mention that we asked for an outside, but covered table as rain was expected, however when we got there it was nice and sunny so we asked to sit in the sun. There seemed to be some difficulty and if the place was busy I would understand, but the place had only about 3-4 tables being used so there were lots of free tables in sunnier spaces. However after the initial difficulty we were soon seated and given menus and drinks. The meals were good and the attention from the servers was excellent. I had Hunter's Chicken which was a little messy, but very tasty and overall it was a nice lunch and I will definitely visit again.
Great food had a yummy gammon and veg for dinner and its all being redecorated looking great so far. Good job x
I live locally but I've never been in for a breakfast until today. Both me and my wife ordered a mega breakfast and I have to say it was one of the best breakfasts I've eaten in a long time. Everything on the plate was cooked beautifully and was served piping hot. We will most definitely be returning in the future.
It's larger pub than appears from outside, very clean and welcoming. Very well prepared pool table n darts. Outside area is neat.
The Wool Pack Pub presents a mixed dining experience, characterized by fluctuating service and ambiance. Many patrons appreciate the delightful food, cozy atmosphere, and friendly staff, often highlighting the diverse menu and excellent customer service. However, some recent visitors have noted issues with management and a lack of professionalism, particularly concerning the landlady's behavior and the bar's environment, which can detract from family-friendly outings. While many enjoy the welcoming vibe and quality meals, the pub must address its inconsistencies to ensure every guest leaves satisfied and content. Overall, it's a place of potential, yet requires attention to detail in service.

Called in with 8 others on the way to the Burnley -Chelsea game and we were all most impressed with the welcoming hospitable barmaid/staff and superb breakfast menu..the mega breakfast was great and good value.Ales and other beer were good too will call in again next time we are up from the West country
I've always driven passed and thought about trying so we went in for lunch. It was very quiet which was good. The barmaid was very pleasant and we sat down where we wanted. I ordered the rag pudding and my wife went for the tuna melt. The meals arrived quickly and they looked fantastic. The rag pudding was really tasty, the gravy was very meaty and the mushy peas were perfect. I think the chips may be frozen ones, I may be wrong, but they weren't bad. My wife's tuna melt was on a really soft roll. Plenty of fries. The sandwich was tasty, however it could have done with a lot more cheese as there wasn't much on there. Not a bad little place and I'd definitely go back again.
Had the pleasure of meeting some old friends today and i have to say what a fantastic service, From arriving at the pub to leaving i was made to feel so welcome by the young girl behind the bar, so helpful and nothing was to much trouble for her, A good range of food choices and what a good healthy meal it was, hats off to the chef and please keep up the good work as I will be returning, Fantastic service all round well done Definitely worth a visit

We have been enjoying the food at this wonderful pub for years. Today though, we walked in and shortly after walked out. A number of heavily tattooed men builder types were stood around the bar swearing loudly. This was late afternoon and at a time when families may come in with children. The young man behind the bar obviously heard them and said nothing! It’s a shame if the standards are let slip!

Lovely local pub serving fresh cooked Food, separate gluten free menu with plenty of options for starters, mains, desserts, Knowledge staff and chef. The steak pie was excellent all the pizzas can be made gluten free. Lots of choice here.
I highly recommend The Woolpack in Haslingden! We visited today with our daughter, who has coeliac disease, and the gluten-free menu was fantastic. The chef even came over to discuss kid-friendly options with her. She had the choice of gluten-free chicken nuggets, sausages, or spaghetti bolognese. She chose the chicken nuggets and declared them the best she’s ever had (she polished them off before I could take a photo!). I tried the gluten-free cheese and onion pie, which was delicious! Dale enjoyed a roast (which can also be made gluten-free). For dessert, Naomi had gluten-free sticky toffee pudding, and it was amazing! The service was excellent as well; we were regularly checked on. Anyone with coeliac disease or gluten intolerance should definitely visit. I took pictures of the gluten-free menu options; there is also a main menu, but I didn’t capture that one.
For our meal, we ordered two courses for two people, which included starters of garlic mushrooms and a full rack of BBQ ribs (gluten-free). We both enjoyed the roast beef for our Sunday lunch, and it was fantastic. Along with two alcoholic drinks, a Coke, and a coffee, our total came to £50. They also serve breakfast, so it's definitely worth checking out their menu on Facebook.
I had an incredible experience with gluten-free food at this restaurant! The staff were extremely helpful and had impressive knowledge about gluten-free options. The pizza was fantastic! I will definitely be returning, especially to try the gluten-free breakfast. Thank you so much!

The pub serves excellent food with a separate gluten-free menu that features a great selection, including some daily specials. The staff was well-informed and attentive. While it's best to make a reservation, they kindly accommodated our family of four on a weekday during the school holidays. The food was outstanding, and the service was excellent. Milly at the bar and Anton, the chef who personally delivered our meals, even offered recommendations for other places to check out in the area. I would definitely return if I'm in the vicinity!
I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. They took great care to ensure that their gluten-free options were prepared safely. The service was very polite and attentive. One standout aspect was that they didn’t charge extra for gluten-free dishes, unlike many other places. Their reasoning was that being gluten-free isn’t a choice, so there’s no reason to charge more. I found this to be a generous and refreshing approach, especially considering the higher costs typically associated with gluten-free food. I highly recommend this restaurant!
Lovely little restaurant with their own gluten free menu and a nice selection of options! Even sticky toffee pudding… always a bonus in my opinion!!
