The lady behind the bar was great even though they don’t serve food week days she let us bring in food from a take out from around the corner.
We wished to visit local pubs during our trip through Ireland, we found the Abbey bar after walking up the hill from our hotel. The pub did not disappoint, it was an iconic Irish pub, the atmosphere as well as the very friendly and welcoming bartender made for a very pleasant stop.
We didn't have a meal at this restaurant; we stopped by on a Wednesday night after food service had ended. The place was bustling with locals who were enjoying drinks and live music. It was a pleasant experience, as the locals were welcoming and made room for us. We had a great time with our drinks, and the highlight of the evening was definitely the live music.
This is the best bar in the area! The prices are great, the food is delicious, and the staff is amazing. It's one of the best bars we've ever been to.
Magnificent experience. Please avoid. Owner was one of the most rude people we ever know. We came to a drink at 4:30. There was only one handful of people present, and he told my wife that he expected the pub to be full at 5:00 and refused to serve us. He basically told us to go somewhere else. We went to the next pub, O’Briens and had a much warmer reception there. My family and I were here for a holiday, but these little personal legacy. I would recommend you to avoid this place, there are much more beautiful places to visit.
