We didn't have a meal at this restaurant; we stopped by on a Wednesday night after food service had ended. The place was bustling with locals who were enjoying drinks and live music. It was a pleasant experience, as the locals were welcoming and made room for us. We had a great time with our drinks, and the highlight of the evening was definitely the live music. There was only one handful of people present, and he told my wife that he expected the pub to be full at 5:00 and refused to serve us. He basically told us to go somewhere else. The lady behind the bar was great even though they don’t serve food week days she let us bring in food from a take out from around the corner.
We wished to visit local pubs during our trip through Ireland, we found the Abbey bar after walking up the hill from our hotel. The pub did not disappoint, it was an iconic Irish pub, the atmosphere as well as the very friendly and welcoming bartender made for a very pleasant stop.
This is a classic pub with a friendly owner named Sean. The food is excellent, and I highly recommend trying the Irish coffee.
Sean and Betty always welcome customers with a warm smile.
This is the best bar in the area! The prices are great, the food is delicious, and the staff is amazing. It's one of the best bars we've ever been to.
