The brisket in the Brisket Sammie is well-cooked and lays a nice foundation for the sandwich, but don’t expect anything extraordinary—it’s essentially just brisket on plain white bread. A sauce would really enhance the dish. The restaurant has limited hours, but we really enjoy the new food truck at this location—great BBQ! We tried the brisket sandwich with crunchy mac and cheese, as well as the pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw, and both were delicious. We attempted to visit for Taco Tuesday, but unfortunately, they were already closed an hour early by 7 PM when we arrived. It’s tough to keep track of all the places that close early around here, especially during the summer when it stays light out until after 9 PM.
Stopped at the food truck and had an amazing birra brisket tacos. It was very delicious. The service was great. They were friendly and helpful. It’s worth my money and I will be going back for more to try the other items on the menu.
Nashville hot chicken sandwich was just a store bought patty with seasoning on it.Super lame... BBQ was acceptable
Let me preface this review with the fact that I am not a “meat eater” by that I mean that I rarely eat animal based protein, I’m not Fully Vegan or completely Vegitarian.... and it’s mostly due to the dang tasty grub at Roots! Like a moth to the sweet.juicy, dripping with goodness flame. In the summer when the smokers pump out that beconing aroma any “edge” that I have doesn’t just break... it melts into a ritch tangy sauce, second only to Whatever magic the sauce on the half chicken order is. Seriously though, hands down my favorite bbq joint. The folks working there are always way nice, the spicy sausages are Crazy good, don’t miss out on the brisket or pulled pork sandwiches though and of course the half chicken (ask for extra sauce.... it has plenty on it, but you are never going to get enough of that stuff).
Always delicious, worth the small detour
