Rece... read more My previous review seems to have either not posted or been deleted. I am a trans woman and have known Essel for many years, always supporting his business. Recently, I returned for the first time since transitioning. During my visit, I was inappropriately asked about my surgical status and questioned as to why I dislike my former name. I learned that there was a trans man who had previously experienced disrespect regarding his pronouns and name, and I was told it was unreasonable for me to expect the same respect. This line of questioning was deeply offensive, and after such a disturbing interaction, I chose to leave without being served. Things escalated further when Essel cursed at me, called me a derogatory name, and shouted while chasing me out of the store. I had to run to my car to escape. It was a truly awful experience. If you doubt my account, you can check out the reviews. I strongly urge anyone in the LGBTQ+ community to be very cautious about entering this establishment.

Quick interaction but the baker was more than friendly; He welcomed us to sit even though we didn't purchase food. We appreciated the good vibes and it made us want to come back to the quaint little town of Rosedale soon.
