Wonderful restaurant! Our first visit was on Friday night, and I'm glad we made a reservation. It's definitely worth the hour wait if you're with friends. We arrived around 7 PM and enjoyed drinks at the bar while waiting. The meal took some time once we were seated, but it was absolutely worth it. The picture is of my niece's marinara dish, which looked fantastic, and the quarter chicken was delicious as well! View all feedback.
What Kathleen K doesn't like about House Of Coates:
We decided to try House of Coates after passing by it for years. The service was friendly and prompt. I ordered the Swanee Burger with mushrooms cooked medium rare, and it was incredible... View all feedback.
Ordered a 1/3 cheeseburger with roasted onions, looked as big as the 1/2 pound burger. Moisture and delicate, not overcooked or overgrown, very good. Husband had the Swiss mushroom burger, also very good. I have onion rings appetizer, real porridge, not panko, excellent food, fast service, good waitress, clean modern toilets.
Wonderful burgers ! It 's been awhile since I last enjoyed a Swanee , sooo GOOD. Great little local pub with friendly service. We 'll be back .
Awesome food and drinks at a great price!!! The smell upon entry was phenomenal. Had a rack of BBQ ribs. Yummm!! The au gratin potatoes were awesome. Cole slaw was good. Staff was friendly. Drinks were cold, and priced right. I recommend and if I'm passing by again I will be stopping for a second meal.
We stopped on Sunday afternoon on our way home back to St Paul. This place is fantastic! We've driven past many times and have never stopped before but it's for sure a new regular spot. The burgers are 8 ounces of fresh hand patty beef, and it's the perfect fresh buns from Farmington bakery that takes their burgers to the next level. The fries are good and they're the natural skin on kind, but they're not hand cut on site so small opportunity to get even better. Overall good friendly service, great bar food with other options too like broasted chicken, and we love the value! Family of four including burgers, soda for the kids, one beer, and a couple baskets of fries came to right around $55. That's basically Culver's prices at a real restaurant!
Good burgers, fries and curds. Nicer on inside than it looks outside. Friendly service and reasonable prices. Fat Tire and Furious on tap.
