It's one of me in the Vietnamese restaurant. It is a hole in the wall between San Gabriel and Rosemead area. I'm always coming in when I'm looking for comfort food. The family dinner is always my order. Chicken salad is very refreshing. Catfish soup is sour and a little spicy, but it's surprisingly smooth! The clay pot fish is the best, and I always ask for more source! The fish was never cooked. The fish and the source are perfectly matched. I'm not a big fan of Bo luc lac. The meat was very dry, and the part was small. Not worth the money you pay. The restaurant is clean and the staff is attentive. The service was fast. Just do not expect very nice surroundings and friendly staff who chat with you. will continue to support local business.
Love these authentic Vietnamese dishes, which I cannot make at home, at least the brewed fish. All right. The prices are reasonable, especially the dinner combos. Can't beat $25 for two people. Credit cards accepted. After all, they gave us free dessert!
Yummy Vietnamese food with family special offers. They are known for their Canh Cua, a Vietnamese soup that comes in a hot pot. It's delicious! It is slightly sour and sweet of pineapples and tomatoes they add, and there are okra and some other Vietnamese herbs. It comes with shrimp or catfish. Couples really good with their secondary dishes you can also choose from caramelized pork or catfish in a tone pot. We have the two people family special with the Catfish Canh Cua and the Thit Koh (Caramelized Claypot Braised Pork). It came with rice and a side of chicken salad plus picked vegetables. The catfish was very soft, and the caramelized pig pairs were good with soup and rice. The food was delicious and well balanced with plenty of vegetables and protein. The two of us could not finish everything as it was a good part. It was only 25 bucks. There is a small parking lot in the back with plenty of space server friendly and wear masks credit card accepted
Food is good and price is reasonable, especially the service is superior!
Been coming here for years, before they changed their name. Price has gone up, but that 's to be expected. Food has always been consistent. Tasty, appropriate flavoring. Canh Chua Ca (hot sour fish soup), Ca Kho (caramelized braised catfish) Thit Kho (caramelized braised pork) are my favorites... I can never make mine taste like theirs... Sooooooo good. They were cash only (which is understandable for a lot of mom pops), been accepting cards for some time now. They have NEVER snuck in any tip charge on my bill. (I read that in a few other reviews). And being cash only has nothing to do with charging tax on food. That 's why I decided to finally write a review for them. No I don 't know the owners. I 'm not related to them in any way. Just a fellow Vietnamese immigrant who understands what they 're going thru and the difficulties of running a restaurant, especially nowadays where anyone and everyone can post their opinions about anything and everything . I like this place, plain and simple.
