Every time we travel back to Melbourne, we make a stop at Birch and Perch. This café offers simple yet delightful items. The coffee is excellent, the homemade cakes are heavenly, and if you're fortunate, you might find a pie or pastie available. The Banoffee slice is a must-try! The prices are quite reasonable as well. Stopped in Rosedale on our way through to a school camp. Called half an hour before arrival with an order of 10 coffees and they were all ready on arrival. Coffees were superb and well priced. Will definitely stop here if ever in Rosedale again!
All of the cakes are made on site and the coffee is top quality in a quiet atmosphere where they can be enjoyed.
We make it a point to visit Gabby at Birch and Perch whenever possible, as it undoubtedly serves the best coffee in Rosedale! They also offer excellent pies and cakes. The interior provides a cozy seating area, and if the weather is nice, you can enjoy sitting outside at the tables on the footpath. The shop also features a small nursery, creating a relaxing atmosphere and giving visitors the chance to buy a variety of seedlings and more mature plants. I highly recommend stopping by!
Stopped for coffee and cake on the way to Sale races to work. Will stop every time now lovely cake lovely lady that baked them. Thank you. Jim the ambo.
Stopped into Rosedale and couldn't resist Birch and Perch because of the fun name. We enjoyed two great lattes and a piece of banoffee slice. The lady working was really lovely. The cafe is small, simply furnished and care is obviously taken in its appearance. If we weren't starting our holiday, I would have bought quite a number of plants from the adjoining nursery. and upkeep
