We didn't show up so I can't talk to the hostess. It looks like a beautiful place to eat a bite. Bar saw a pretty good choice and the atmosphere was comfortable. This restaurant is making a good start and deserves the support of the local community. I had a good burger and a decent martini...strong..no scrimping on the gin. I had a good burger and my husband's haddock was pretty good also and fairly inexpensive. The restaurant was slammed on a Saturday night. We are so pleased to see this location open again. As another reviewer said, there are now two places to dine in this area of Lunenburg county, the other being the Ovens, which is very cute and in a beautiful oceanfront location.
We did not dine in so I cannot speak to the host/hostess. It looks like a nice place to grab a bite to eat. Bar looked to have a pretty good selection and the atmosphere was comfortable. We ordered burgers, chili, fried pickles and a ceaser salad. The whole thing was very affordable and the food was pretty good. I would say it is solid pub fare. So if you are looking for a decent burger and some fries, this is a good option. Surprisingly, the Caesar salad was actually very good.
Good food at good prices. The club sandwich is incredible (thick bacon!, like the chili cheeseries.
