Good service and general price! Tape water is free and no service fee! Old and pretty cafe.
Cute place, nice atmosphere overall. Coffee was watery and credit cards are not accepted. How in the world can that be? You are in one oft THE most tourist frequented spots in Europe and insist on cash payment. Please get with it, your prices certainly easily cover the minute card surcharge.
After visiting many other cafes in Austria, I have to agree that the food here is mediocre. The Sachetorte tasted a bit stale and the jam component was lost in the chocolate. The strudel was decent. The Einspänner came with water which was nice but the actual coffee was forgettable, though not ~terrible~. Service was also slow, as we waited quite a while after sitting down before any waiter even acknowledged us, but it didn’t seem explicitly racially motivated as other reviewers have mentioned. I was able to pay with card though. Overall, if there’s no other choice this is an ok option but I would choose another cafe if given the opportunity.
17 euro for two average coffee’s and two pieces of cake and service in the typical grumpy Austrian style. Looks inviting but not worth it.
Nice oldschool cafe with old but cozy interior. The staff was very friendly. The waitress even went with us to the Cake's fridge and let us choose our desert from the vitrine. Cakes were delicious, coffee was nicely served in small pot, the taste was alright. Tap water was served with the coffee which was nice.
