Had a wonderful vegan borillas from the changing menu. There is always at least one vegan main course. Even a vegan cheesecake.
This cosy restaurant in the passage in Ronse pleasantly surprised us! The entrance of the Passage was a bit unclear due to construction work but once inside we discovered a real gem. It houses the EnVie restaurant and organic health food store, which offers a range of carefully selected goods and some fresh produce. The restaurant always has vegan dishes available and also offers gluten free options. Both are clearly indicated on the menu. We enjoyed the vegetable balls as a starter and the daily suggestion of stuffed portobello. Both were very original and flavourfull. Because of the design of the repurposed church you can sit on the indoor terrace and gaze at the beautiful wooden ceiling structures. Make sure to have a chat with the lovely staff :
Lunchable in renovated chapel/kitchen. There are interior seats (also on the upper floor, but since it was a beautiful summer day, we sat on the terrace. Very quiet, hardly traffic. Menu has only one handful of items and changes weekly. Everything is freshly prepared. There are also homemade lemonades. There were two vegan dishes on the menu: the curry (17€ and the mix Comptoir/vegan (19€ a selection of items from the counter. Both dishes were nice, but could use some extra bite (like some tempeh, seitan or such. Since there are vegan cakes available for dessert, we could not resist. A piece of walnut cake (5,5 and Cheezecake (6,50€). We had a nice lunch. Friendly. A little on the expensive side. Steep prices. Updated by previous review on 2021-07-26
We had lunch at a lunchbar located in a renovated chapel/church. There are indoor seats available, including on the upper floor, but since it was a beautiful summer day, we opted to sit on the terrace. It was very peaceful with minimal traffic noise. The menu offers a small selection of items that change weekly, all freshly prepared. They also serve homemade lemonades. We tried two vegan dishes from the menu: the curry (€17) and the vegan mix Comptoir (€19), which consisted of a selection of items from the counter. Both dishes were tasty but could have used an extra element like tempeh or seitan. We couldn't resist trying the vegan cakes for dessert, including a walnut cake (€5.50) and cheezecake (€6.50). Overall, we had a pleasant lunch experience. The staff was friendly, but the prices are a bit on the expensive side. The prices are consistent and the menu is updated regularly.
