Went through the door because of a sign outside that said “bio brunch” also it was an extremely hot and sunny day...both my partner and I were not expecting such a big environment with high sealing and a natural cave sort of freshness. The restaurant is in fact built inside the ancient “Monte dei Cocci” in the district of Testaccio, and although with no outside windows it has some beautiful glass walls showing the heart of the ancient hill. So the entrance being so refreshing got us very hungry and even if we went in for brunch ended up having a little bit of a mixed plate of well assorted food such as : polenta, baked potatoes, hummus, and since there were many gluten free options I ended up having a delicious GF Pasta Amatriciana. The wait wasn’t too long, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The Chef was attentive to our needs and a very pleasant person as well. If you end up in this side of town I highly recommend a visit to this place :
We whent for lunch. We also get the informazioni of a very good chef that start run the restaurant few week ago and the experience was amazing. First We had a appetizer very well selected with a nice different taste like polenta, cus cus, hummus and great backed potato. After my girlfriend took a gluten free amatriciana and I taste was great (i born in Rome and I live in Rome so i know what is a good amatriciana). I took risotto with a herbs and a fantastic twist acidic butter was really really special. At the end we share a crema catalana and the good think was served cold. One more thing about the place, inside its very particular cause the restaurant is bild inside a little hill seems a bit like a cave and it give a particular temperature when is hot outside, inside is very fresh and cool. Go there and enjoy your meal you will not disappointed.
Excellent ristorante, amazing food and the staff is absolutely wonderful, in all honesty I have only nice things to say. They have a very nice play area for toddlers, you can enjoy a peaceful meal while your kid plays happily. Looking forward to have another trip to Rome and this restaurant is on my top priority list.
Wonderful dinner in true Roman style. We brought our 2 yo daughter and had the best dinner in Rome all week. Everything was amazing from start to finish.
We had Sunday brunch at this nice restaurant. Great self-service buffet with more than 20 servings (different kinds of veggies, lasagne with vegetables, quiches, pies and polenta), plus several desserts (two kinds of chocolate cake, torta margherita, panettone and cheese cake with berries). All of this for just 18€, drinks not included.
