Here’s a quick tip for the sta... read more I made a reservation for dinner, but I left after a lovely glass of wine, a rather ordinary starter, and a bad taste in my mouth. Here’s a quick tip for the staff of Ciamarras: when a guest orders a glass of wine off a menu which clearly lists the name of the wine and the price, it’s a good idea NOT to come back after five minutes and ask him while pointing to the menu: “This glass of wine is ___ euros — are you okay with that?” He might be led to think this has to do with something other than the price of the wine, which would be pretty awful. I’m just going to assume it was ignorance. I brought this up with the owner and he apologised, which was nice, but the buzzkill stayed. Oh well — I went elsewhere and got a good pizza.

Here is a short tip for Ciamarras employees: if a guest orders a glass of wine from a menu that clearly lists the name of wine and the price, it is NOT a good idea to come back after five minutes and ask him while on the menu show: “This glass of wine is ____ Euro – do you agree?” He could cause this to be done with something other than the price of wine, which would be quite terrible. I'll just assume it was ignorance. I brought this with the owner and he apologized for what was nice, but the bozzkill remained. Oh, good – I went somewhere else and got a good pizza.
