The service was a bit slow, but it added to the authenticity of the experience. The food was good, but not outstanding. I think I will explore other dining options when I return to Rome.

The owner will load your plate with your selected items until it is stacked high. I even had enough to take home another meal. It is unfortunate that someone, possibly a competitor out of jealousy, keeps falsely claiming that the restaurant is permanently closed. This just gives me more reason to come back and visit!

It is all rather odd as we did not like the restaurant years ago when it first opened and I had to be dragged by my son and daughter in law along with my wife. They live in the NYC area and know something about good food. Loved it. I don't think I changed. Maybe the restaurant did? : Best, Terry
