We have been to the Smokehouse several times now and it seems to be very good or very bad. The Pork BBQ is delicious fresh, but terrible when it's watery and has just been sitting. The last time we went the pork was almost tasteless....More View all feedback.

Log Cabin Smokehouse looks just like you would expect a BBQ joint to be. It 's a pretty small place, with a couple few booths, a larger table and SE counter seating. The staff is friendly, and service is pretty fast. I tried the sampler platter that had chopped pork, chopped chicken, chopped beef and ribs. The ribs and beef were really tasty and were the highlights. Ribs were tender, yet had a really good chat a real balance. The chopped pork was very finely chopped, almost minced, as was the chicken. Both were chopped beyond recognition and were quite watery don 't know if it had been frozen and quickly thawed or what, but it was really wet the pork had a strange flavor. Couldn 't tell if it was from the type of wood used in the smoking process or something else. I have had lots of different styles of cue, but never tasted this flavor before. The beef was excellent. Nicely chopped and very flavorful. I took the leftover beef, chicken and pork home the sampler plate is huge! A great value) I reheated the pork and chicken together in a container and had about a quarter inch of water in the bottom when done. The pork tasted a lot better the second day, with generous amounts of sauce. The main thing most others seemed to be enjoying, we noticed, were steaks. On the night we were there, a Thursday, steaks were the special and there was quite a variety listed. Overall, I would go back, but would avoid the chopped pork and chicken.
This place is great! We love going her for lunch or supper! If you like Brunswick stew you must have theirs! I’m not the biggest fan of the bbq sauce, but it’s fine. The secret of this place (except for those that live nearby) is that Friday night is steak night. They only serve Ribeye! They have an 8oz-14oz! The steaks taste to be marinated, and they have that great marbling Ribeyes are known for! They also have a mini fix yourself salad bar on Friday nights only. If you stop by there is an elderly man that stays around there named Curley. Say hello to him.
We have been to this restaurant several times in the 5 years that we have lived in the area, but we will never bother again. The service has never been great before, but it wasn’t bad. The last time we went, we were the only people in the restaurant that weren’t regulars or family members and we were completely ignored. It is far too small of a restaurant for such horrible service. The food is ok. Not a fan of the BBQ sauce, so I don’t usually get the BBQ.
