Was Rhett Norris at Cod Tail a mag?
Cod Tail was fantastic! It reminded me of an upscale take on Captain D's. The menu featured combo meals priced around $12-$13, each serving a generous portion of freshly made dishes. We truly enjoyed every bite! View all feedback.
What Noemie Heathcote dislikes about Cod Tail:
Food is great as well as service. One complaint I have is their mac n cheese. Their menu lists it as a $3.99 item. I would advise people to NOT order their Mac. It is literally Stouffers frozen macaroni. This is not made in house nor is it fresh in any way. I was craving some good Mac tonight and decided to go out on a limb and check them out. Again food is great, but this particular side item isWAY over priced. It?s... View all feedback.

I absolutely love this restaurant! The food is fantastic—especially the broccoli, which is cooked to perfection. My favorite dish is the fish and shrimp combo, no matter what type of fish you choose. The prices are quite reasonable too, especially given how expensive everything is these days!
It was ok except the fish is often overcooked and not edible. I think the oil that they use is not very good either.
The fried gizzards were delicious, and the corn was flavorful. I just wished the roll had been served warm.
Wow! What a gem! The food is absolutely fantastic, the portions huge, and incredible prices! 5 stars all the way around! We will be back!
This was my first experience at Cod Tail, and it took a long time for my food to arrive. I wasn't impressed with the meal back then (about 8 months ago). However, I decided to give it another chance, and after a longer wait, it was definitely worth it! The food was served hot and tasted amazing. The Philly cheesesteak was delicious, and the okra was fantastic as well. I wouldn’t recommend the lemonade, as it tasted just like margarita mix; I ended up swapping it for sweet tea instead. The staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was clean. I will definitely be returning for a third visit!

I was hesitant to eat here, but I am certainly glad I did! I got the shrimp boil and added sausage (med cajun and my girlfriend got the crab leg boil (med garlic butter . The food was fabulous by far the best seafood boil I?ve had eating out. The shrimp were large and very tasty and the crab legs were about 3-4 times the size of that at red lobster and better tasting too (the garlic butter went very well with the crab . I highly recommend! Typing this review as I wait forour dessert to go???? (EDIT : Try the funnel fries and thank me later ;

I've been to Cod Tail several times. My first visit in 2020 was disappointing, but my experiences improved significantly during visits in 2022. On one occasion, I had the fried shrimp and fried catfish, both of which were fantastic. The fries were equally impressive—crispy and flavorful. Today, I tried the Cajun boil. Although the menu was somewhat unclear about what was included, the staff were very helpful in guiding me. I ordered a pound of shrimp with added sausage (it already comes with corn and potatoes). The flavors were exceptional, and I’ll definitely be ordering it again.
We were hesitant to try Cod Tail at first, but my wife encouraged me, and I’m so happy we came. The seafood boil was fantastic, the fried shrimp was outstanding, and the staff was incredibly friendly. The atmosphere was clean and inviting. I highly recommend this restaurant and will surely return soon!
