We got there right when they opened, and they happily let us sit inside since we visited in the midst of a heat wave. We grabbed a glass of wine and the truffle honey bruschetta. Everything was good and the service was kind. I would go back in a heartbeat for more food. The night we were there, their credit card system was down, but they let us know, up front, before we ordered anything.

When you’ve had enough of the tourist trap restaurants, meander your way to this lovely and tranquil enoteca on a quiet little piazza, where the food is delicious, the wine choices are plentiful, the staff is friendly and the vibe is perfect for relaxing after a full day. I highly recommend Vin Allegro!

The staff were so friendly and there was an enormous choice of wine at reasonable prices. We told the staff the type of wine we liked and they made a perfect recommendation for us!

On a sunny day like we got, don't hesitate to get a table outside and be blessed by the warm weather of Rome.

Lots o... read more We happened upon this little wine bar by chance after wanting authentic. We lucked out! We wanted just a drink, then after seeing the food, were seduced! Lots of yummy food and delicious wine followed, a proper long lunch! They were super accommodating for my one year old, sourcing a high chair from over the road for him. Reasonable prices. It was my partner’s birthday three days later and on the off chance I asked if they could source a cake for a few days time. They said yes and refused payment up front. We came back three days later, slightly dubious if they’d even remember us, but they did and had the most beautiful cake waiting! It actually made the whole of our Rome trip, along with another fantastic lunch with super food and wine. I can’t recommend enough…. Thank you for making our Roman experience truly memorable!!
