There are meal times that are made to impress, meal times that are made to restore or revise, meal times that transport them to a new type of thinking of food.... read more There are meal times that are made to impress, meal times that are made to restore or revise, meal times that transport them to a new type of thinking of food. ore dodici fills all above, and admirable, but it aims at higher ground: a meal...at ore dodici confess both of you and convert yourself into a sheer and overwhelming joy and love of fine eating. each part of our experience was first-class, from the attentive, stylish, expedient service to the attentive choice of winery, what we were looking for and then brought out a Poggiobello/Ribolla gialla, who came out both our taste and the dishes on the table superlatiw. the focus is fish in ore, but this is not as much of a restriction as it is a matter: ceviche so fresh it was still moving, vegetables that up to the point of the explosive, a homemade, fishstuffed ravioli that melted to touch, even a fresh fruit dessert in the sugar tip of the ripe. there were so much thoughts about textures and aromas: their honest and passionate enthusiasm is contagious. both the chef and the owner came to the tables on a random week afternoon and made us feel like the family. I understand that the cook is an expert for vegan cooking and very appreciated its attention to our nutritional needs; she has an salatable that I would change continental too often. I live in nyc, formerly tokio, and have often dimmed in the best restaurants from there to here; but I never had a meal like those we had in ore dodici. it is not in the center of rom, and it is only open for lunch, of which both are good things, because they are never a table otherwise book in any case, because its rare excellent is unfortunately not a secret. they can have a great time in rom without going to ore dodici, or they can have a lifeless time when they go. their choice.
