Was Transplant Texan at Laterano Caffe a mag?
We stayed at an apartment upstairs and this was a good place for us to wait for the landlord before we could get in. People are friendly, speak English, and the prices are great. Cappucino was about $2 and very good! The pastries were excellent. It was a wonderful place to have coffee and sweets in the morning. Many locals come by as it s right at the bus stop, so it can be busy. I always saw plenty of places to sit... View all feedback.
What Davide Marini dislikes about Laterano Caffe:
Nice and chilly place with a friendly atmosphere. Located in the city, just in front of St. John Lateran Basilica. Drinks, coffee, croissants, panini and some prepared food are decent and reasonably priced. Good for a quick bite for breakfast or lunch. Very fast and helpful service. We went a couple of times, for coffee and cakes while visiting the area. It was good but nothing to write home about. But this place was... View all feedback.

The pizza was also good and a good value at $6 for a large portion that made a nice snack for 2 people.
Prime coffee, very delicious pastries and sandwiches. We had breakfast every morning there during our roman holiday. Wish I had a same place near my home.
We came for breakfast every morning of our holiday. Already the second morning they knew what we would like and served it even though it wasn’t really in the coupon package. Lovely atmosphere, even if very busy with people stopping for a quick coffee. The kids liked it too! And they’re a tough crowd to please.

But this place was a good choice to start out food adventure in Rome without breaking our bank. We spotted countless tourists on a budget like us. Try it if you walk around San Giovanni Basilica.
