It is located in the so-called piazzetta , the heart of the historic area. We are talking about a place and bar with a wide range of confectionery and bar products. For years, they have been making krapfen, a kind of stuffed donut with different flavors, fried and wrapped in sugar grains. It is a variant of the famous German dessert krapfen or more simply Berliner . The fillings are jam, custard cream, chocolate or just take the most classic 'bomba ' without filling, always excellent. Perfect match for a cappuccino or a coffee. Recommended.

Every time I am in Rome and I have the possibility to have few hours of relax, I go to this cafe not only to eat on the spot a warm krapfen (which sometimes com... read more Every time I am in Rome and I have the possibility to have few hours of relax, I go to this cafe not only to eat on the spot a warm krapfen (which sometimes come down in a very choreographic way from an air-ship (Zeppelin which is on the ceiling of shop but also to take away some more to eat a Little bit later!! It is possible to have the krapfen in three ways: simple, with jam filling or with cream (which are my preferred ones! Now they cost one euro each. I still remember when I was child and we were living in Rome, my parents used to take me there and always there was a Long Queue , specially on Sundays, waiting for the fresh fried krapfen. I continued this Tradition taking my children there when it happened we passed through Rome.

There is nothing better than eating these delicious hot krapfen in a summer day!
