What VesperLyndoo7 dislikes about Caffe Greco:
Obviously, the place is full of history and thus it's quite pricey. There is an option to drink at the bar near the entrance in which case the prices are almost normal. The main seating area is closed off with a rope and you can only get in there if you agree to sit down and order from a different menu where the prices are ridiculous. Caffe is magical in itself, and knowing who sat here throughout the history of the Cafe, gives special feeling in any case . Next time I would go again and I recommend everyone to drink at least one cuffe in this iconic Caffe

Overall, maybe a good idea to visit but be prepared to part with a lot of money for the pleasure.

Atmospheric café in a very nice spot. The food is great. Prices aren’t very pleasant but as they say If you know, you know. Worth visiting

Founded in 1760, Café Greco is Rome's oldest cafe. Its elaborately decorated baroque-style tables and paintings offer a glimpse into history. It's said to have been frequented by famous intellectuals and artists, including the writer, adventurer, and playboy Casanova, as well as poets Goethe, Byron, Mendelssohn, and Wagner. It was closed on the day I visited, so I wasn't able to experience the atmosphere, but I hope to return someday...
