Classic fried chicken! Arrive a little early to take it home while it's still hot. It really hits the spot!
Yes, they are only open for dinner and primarily serve Italian-style dishes, although there are other options available too. Their minestrone soup is amazing—I usually take home a quart! Every dinner comes with soup, salad, and bread. Some of the standout dishes include the lasagna and the beef medallions served with mostaccioli. They also have a full bar. Many of the staff members have been there for years, with some even for decades. You can expect a lot of delicious food at reasonable prices. I must admit, we haven't visited since the COVID situation, but I've heard they are open again, possibly with limited hours. Definitely give them a try!
The best fried chicken in the East Bay. Give it a try—you won't be disappointed. You'll just find yourself wanting more!
On Father’s Day me and my family tried to call in a pick up order since my grandparents used to enjoy this place years ago. We promptly started calling after 5pm when they supposedly opened but it would either ring and go to voicemail or we would get a busy signal. We figured they must have been helping other customers and decided to drive from our home in Tiburon to order in person. Once we arrived, it was obvious that they were closed- no note on the door as to why, nor even having the courtesy of letting customers know on their voicemail. I called and left a voicemail with a request to be called back, but of course, they did not even have the respect to do that. I would certainly give them 0 stars if I could. Their chicken is average, I was only taking my grandparents there because they used to come when they lived here in California but this definitely left a stain in our perception of this place- it has certainly gone down hill.
