Handy location not far from Groningen. Bus stops outside hotel . Spacious rooms with balconies. Inexpensive with a satisfactory breakfast included. The meal in the restaurant was very nice. Good sized portions and included plenty of vegetables, which are sadly lacking from so many other restaurants we have been to. I can thoroughly recommend the Grand Desert for two.

It was a nice hotel, the room was fine. It needed a little paint job. But the beds were great. Before you make a reservation with children check if there is an event, because it can be loud till 1.

This hotel was ok because we did not pay much since we had a voucher. However we had to pay a so-called 4-star charge which was dissapointing because the hotel was superbasic. The room and bathroom were very simple. Also we couldn't sleep because the walls were not remotely sound-proof so we heard that our neighbours were having a much better time than us (read: having extremely loud all night). Also some party people across the corridor. I have to say the staff is really friendly and also the area surrounding the hotel is nice. Probably best to ask for a quiet room if you book this hotel if you want some peace.

Hotelroom was simple but okay. An apart toilet was good.bed were okay. Cushens a bit too flat. No coffee or tea facilities in the room.

One star for the friendly and helpful stuffs, one star for the cheap price. Facilities are extremely dated and our bathroom smelled like pee the whole time... Will not recommend it
