7 friends drank excellent BC red wines and had very good dinners and yummy desserts in the dining roo. Décor was less glitzy than it was understated and comforting luxuriousness. Oh, my risoot was atd dry, its corn cakes on top lovely, innovative, and delicious, and my Caesar salad disappointingly scraggly Romaine -- but deliciously dressed. And that is the dining in a Romaine shell, some great dishes, a bit of ingen... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Glencoe:
We had hoped for a quality eating experience at this wonderful and well known golf club. The baby back ribs were cooked to no taste and was slathered with a cheap barbecue sauce. The wine drinks were very costly as we did not want to purchase the orchard. Our server had a very bad habit of saying "no worries" after each thing we answered. He should be retrained or fired. While he hustled and was busy, we were put off... View all feedback.
The grill was closed on Friday, so our friends recommended we dine in the lounge instead. The service was excellent. We all started with two Gyoza appetizers - one shrimp and the other pork - and both were delicious. My wife ordered the Fish Tacos for her main course, but received four tacos instead of the expected two. She found them tasty but a bit dry. I opted for the Bison Burger with sweet potatoes, which was huge and delicious. Our friends both ordered the steak sandwich and loved it.
I had dinner with my family there, the food was delicious, but the desserts were for dying! Absolutely delicious! The service is also quite good. Can't go wrong dinner in such a great place.
7 friends drank excellent BC red wines and had very good dinners and delicious desserts in the food roo. Décor was less glittering than underestimated and comfortable luxury. Oh, my risoot was eaten dry, its maize cake on top beautiful, innovative and tasty, and my Caesar salad disappointing delicious Romaine but tasty dressed. And this is the food in a Romain dish, some great dishes, a bit of ingenuity and an unpleasant second or two. The choices from the menu are very many, but servers will do everything to please you and your sensual head palate. It's a very good city club.
Glencoe is a private club that offers a wonderful food service in several venues. The food is of high quality and the service is pleasant. Meals can be as casual as a bite after some sports or a formal dinner. Downtown Club is complemented by a second golf course on Highway 8. The golf location also offers a dining service and a good selection of high-quality food and drinks for the tired golfer (or guest) who wants to relax and relax.
The service at the restaurant is attentive and supportive, allowing guests to focus on the delicious variations of familiar dishes such as Dungeness crab cakes, carrot salad, roasted chicken, and seared tuna. These dishes are creatively seasoned and come with a side of fresh fruits, vegetables, or citrus slices. We have dined at this restaurant multiple times over the years and have never experienced a service error or a dull dish. Located in a beautiful residential area, the club offers a variety of athletic, social, and cultural activities, from swimming pools to lecture rooms. Parking is convenient on-site and across the street near lovely homes. The prices for lunch and dinner are reasonable considering the quality of the food and the wine list is excellent. The club is situated in a peaceful and safe area, providing a tranquil escape from the bustling city. It is only a short drive away from the city center, making it convenient to catch a play or movie after your meal. This urban dining spot in a serene neighborhood is a favorite among Calgary's elite, where business meetings are a delight and where you may spot celebrities, athletes, and artists. Take a stroll around Elboia and Mount Royal before or after your meal, and you will appreciate the enchanting setting and outstanding dining experience offered by Glencoe.
