The Thirsty Bull - Rocky Mount

Small portions, some of the things on the minute aren't offered anymore. My fish sandwich on the menu said with endless fries so when I ordered more fries the bill came with a charge for endless fries and the one waitress that was working said they don't tothe endless fries with the meals now it's separate so she removed it from my bill since I didn't know that when she was the oneto put it on the bill herself. Will not go again.

Friday night around 6:15 we arrived only one patron in the restaurant. After he left we were the only ones eating. A few folks drinking and listening to the band outside. After the food arrived I understood why they were drinking outside with the band.This place came highly recommended by a person I trust. Guess we just hit a bad night. Maybe the bull got too thirsty ?

August, 2022. This is a fill the tank restaurant, if you 're really hungry and just need something then this will do. It 's not the best food. I 've been cooking all my life and I could whip up a much better dish with fresher ingredients, much moreflavorful, and in much less time. Plating was messy and not appealing at all. Not colorful and very little filling . I ordered The Bayou pasta with peppers and Onions, very finely diced and very few of them. House Alfredo was near flavorless and veryrunny. Chicken was ok, but bland and sausage was just cheap kielbasa. Another person in my party ordered the steak, this was thesaddest steak I 've ever seen. Extremely thin, no marbling, and nothing to make it look appealing. Overall 2/5, because the staffwas honestly great and pretty much on the ball, but don 't come here expecting a meal to talk about. I 'd recommend going toLouRedas right across the street, they are definitely a 5 star restaurant and I think that 's why this place isn 't doing asgreat. Just improve on the food and that would be great. Thank you for serving us though.

The place was not busy?.at all. It took 30 minutes to get my burger. It was way over cooked and wrong. Didn?t tell me until after the fact that they were out of part of the ingredients and the fries were barely cooked. Very rubbery and greasy AF. Thebeer was cold and the waitress was very attentive and polite.

We stopped by on our way home to Virginia because we always like trying local places. I ordered the new York strip med rare and it came out well done, besides that it was the thinnest steak I ever saw, about 1/4 thick. The salads, as other reviews I saware mostly lettuce. My daughters burger was also over cooked. The french fries were greasy and limp. I would've given 1 star butthe waitress was nice and the price was cheap.
