The Prime Smokehouse Barbecue Beyond

I would give this place a zero star if possible. Made a reservation a week in advance drove from Greenville nearly a hour away. Arrived 15 mins prior as in instructed. Only to be told it would be 45 mins to possibly get us a table and that there kitchen is running about an hour behind on orders. What a joke make a reservation and waist my whole family's time. If you want terrible costumer service this may be the place for you... absolute joke!!!!

Arrived at the restaurant at 7 pm. After many times asking for a waitress for our table, our order was taken at 8 pm. The waitress was overwhelmed because she was serving another table with a party of 25. and we had 5 people. We asked to speak to the owner many times but were told she was not available. We were tired and frustrated because we were in town for a family member's funeral. The waitress informed us at approximately 9 pm that our food was almost ready. At that time, I informed her not to bring my food out because it had taken so long. I had eaten food from this place, a previous time when I visited Rocky Mount and the food was delicious. I expect there to be a wait on the weekend, but not on a Wednesday night. I wouldn't recommend this place to my family or friends. Also, later the waitress asked the owner to come to our table because of our complaint, and she refused.

The food is always awesome, the service, great and the ambiance perfect. One of my favorite local restaurants.

You can hang out all day at this location Rocky Mount Mills. The ambiance of the restaurant is comforting and down-home. The meal was excellent. I will return to try other dishes. All the staff was pleasant and professional.

The food is really tasty. The gumbo is excellent and very tasty with the different seafood. First time trying the fried green tomatoes and it was good but not a reorder for me; just not for me but good. The ambiance is very relaxing and clean. The staff are very friendly and professional. Love the jazz playing in the background.
