We are an Over 50s bus tour company from the Sunshine Coast and bring our group at least once a month to the Island for a day tour. We always have a 2 course lunch at the Manta Ray Bistro. The staff are always friendly, helpful and efficient. Nothing is ever a problem for them. The food is always delicious and the servings are very generous. The view is spectacular also.We look forward to going back next month. Thank... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Manta Ray Bistro at Stradbroke Island Beach Hotel:
This is an attractive restaurant, but the food lets it down. Also there is dreadful loud music playing from the nearby outside drinking area. It's such a pity to spoil the ambience of a place with so much potential. View all feedback.
The Mahi Mahi special was perfect - definitely a venue for a casual dinner with many options. Great service from the team
We called in for lunch on a sunny Saturday, and had no trouble finding a table. We chose to sit in the Bistro, and after looking at the menu, decided to check if the bar menu was any better. I was standing near the Bistro cashier, so I could look at the Bistro specials and the bar menu, when a staff member said "you can't eat that in here!". Fair enough, however some manners might be nice!We chose to stick wit the bistro, and were underwhelmed. 2 of us had the beef/bacon/cheese pie from the specials menu ($18), the pie looked big, but was mostly pastry - there wasn't much beef to it, there was some bacon, but the cheese seemed to just be on the pastry, and burnt on under a grill. It was accompanied by some peas and a fancy squirt of cold mashed potato. The pie wasn't very hot either. One of us had the fish and chips, which was OK. The other had a burger - asked for it without betroot (and it arrived without betroot), and tomato sauce instead of BBQ - which they said they couldn't do completely, as there is NO TOMATO SAUCE in the kitchen. There were able to supply the burger without any sauce, but with tomato sauce on the side... The strangest part was the plate it was served on. It looked like a garlic bread plate - long and thin, and only exactly the right size for the burger and fries - no space around the edges. The burger also wasn't very hot.I would rather pack a sandwich for my lunch, than eat here again.

Delicious food, excellent service and reasonable price. The oysters and prawns were so yummy and fresh.
We took an impromptu trip to North Stradbroke Island and were recommended going here for the views. We were excited expecting some wonderful seafood, however I have limited options due to being pregnant. When we got there they had no fresh prawns and there was one fish available as a special. They had a couple of entree fish options two being prawns.I chose the seafood linguine but they couldn't modify my seafood linguine to take out a fish which obviously means it's all pre cooked.I considered some other options but they also listed items I couldn't have Unless I wanted a burger or Parmagiana I was limited so I opted for a vegetarian meal and it was very average like a pasta soup with far too much Olive.SERVICE:-Cannot fault service friendliness and willingness to want to help.VIEWS:-The views are spectacular but if you need anything other than pub meal not the best option for you.If you need a pub classic they sure do deliver there so it's not all bad just didn't deliver to my expectation and needs.
