Plaza Oaxaca Rockville

I am thrilled that this place has opened. The Coco Hibiscus margaritas are a must-try. The Molcajete dish is excellent. The nopales are delicious, which can be difficult to find at other places. The prices are reasonable. The staff is attentive and always on top of things. I will definitely be returning. I also feel like they may have stolen my mom's recipe for orange rice. Overall, they do a great job in every aspect of their establishment. (Much better than La Tasca)

The margaritas were decent. The chips were warm and fresh, and they were served with two types of salsa which was a nice touch. I'll definitely be trying the tacos next time I'm in the area.

The salsa and chips come in a small portion size and refills are charged for. The tacos are also very small and the sauces are bland. Happy hour is only available inside or at the bar. The only appeal is sitting outdoors and enjoying the Rockville city center. The menu is extensive but lacks variety, especially for vegetarians who are limited to Taco Bell-style options at high prices. The hostess is not welcoming and there are fees for most requests. There are better Tex-Mex options nearby, making one wonder how this place stays in business.
