We visited Rustico, a tapas and wine bar, with a group of friends to try their vegan tapas and wine. Although I didn't try the food myself, my companions raved about it, especially the delicious smelling mushrooms. Unfortunately, we were unable to determine which wines were vegan, but our server was very kind and promised to investigate for future reference. The restaurant's beachside setting was lovely, and the outdoor seating was comfortable and enjoyable. Rustico is a great option if nearby Faux Sho Vegan Pantry is closed.
We were recommended to try Rustico while in Rockingham and checked out their website, but couldn't find any vegan options listed. After calling them, we were pleasantly surprised to learn they have a vegan menu. The food was delicious, especially the Shiraz mushrooms. Our only suggestion would be to make the vegan menu more visible.
Great staff and delicious food! Phil and Ashton provided a warm welcome and went above and beyond to make our experience enjoyable. We tried the pork tacos, croquettes, pan-fried fish, gnocchi, and chipotle chicken, and the portion sizes were just right for two people. The restaurant was buzzing right from the moment it opened, and I definitely plan to return to explore more of their menu. Highly recommend checking it out!
Amazing food and speedy service of food despite being at full capacity and very busy! We were seated immediately (no booking) and we were promptly served by the helpful staff who helped explained the menu and dishes to us. Food came much faster than expected especially because it was full house. The food itself was amazing. Pricey, but definitely worth it. So many new and interesting flavours and gorgeous presentation. We ordered our selection of 8 different tapas dishes, and they were served from light and refreshing to heavier dishes. Very well planned out even if we never specifically asked for it. Definitely recommend you try this place at least once!
It is quite a small space and we were tucked into a small area between two tables with limited space. We opted for the degustation and the food I have to say was amazing with explosions of flavour in every mouthful. However, some downsides were that the service was subpar with there not being enough floor coverage with waiters as we had to wait excessive amounts of time before we were attended to for our drinks order. It wasn’t very nice seeing people who came in after us ordering and receiving their food before we had even been given the water we asked for when being seated. We ordered a beer and a cocktail and watched the beer sit open on the bar for 10 minutes getting warm while the cocktail was made. I just think that if we are spending that much money for a nice meal the service needs to be sharpened up to match that price tag.
