Always have a good experience here. The rooms are of great size for longer or shorter stays. The breakfast is on point with both cook to order and continental items. There is a charge but when cooked to order, it is expected and worth it. It’s also very nice since they have recently renovated the lobby spaces. Not sure if the rooms were renovated at the same time but they are nice either way. View all feedback.
What Sheryl Lackey doesn't like about Hilton Garden Inn Rockford:
Lack of security a major concern.Beware of utilizing pool, multiple unsupervised children allowed to swim horseplay. Dangerous and scary for little ones.Safety: Lacking View all feedback.

We were taking a road trip and our first stop was Rockford. We picked this hotel because it had a jetted tub and for it's location. It was a toss up between this and the Holiday Inn. Wish we would have picked the Holiday Inn!We received an email asking us to precheck in which was wonderful. It had us select our time of arrival. We selected 3pm. I was in a car accident several weeks earlier and couldn't wait to soak in the tub.3pm came and went. No key yet! 4pm came and went and still no key! We didn't get into our room until after 5pm! TWO HOURS after check in. I was given some points back but not enough to make up for the waiting. We got up for breakfast and they charged $6.95 per person! No thank you. Most hotels come with a complimentary breakfast. We decided to go to the Machine Shed which was wonderful. The food was fantastic and service was outstanding.Very disappointed in this location.
Check your bill carefully. They charged us a 75$ pet fee that I’m still fighting to reverse. We had no pets.
Coming from a real inn, this is just a Hampton Inn with a cafeteria. If you like that, then you'll be good. Strong recommendation for business travelers.
First, unable to select room on Hilton App.Second, digital key was not sent prior to check-in.Third, room assigned had a broken lock and anyone could open the door without a key.Fourth, desk person was outside smoking and me and one other guest had to wait for 5 minutes until she came in to take care of our check-ins.Fifth, I was not greeted as being a Hilton Member.Rooms: This property was recently remodeled. Feels more like their budget line Tru, and not a true Hilton. Post remodel feels like they put lipstick on a pig.Safety: First, unable to select room on Hilton App.Second, digital key was not sent prior to check-in.Third, room assigned had a broken lock and anyone could open the door without a key.Fourth, desk person was outside smoking and me and one other guest had to wait for 5 minutes until she came in to take care of our check-ins.Fifth, I was not greeted as being a Hilton Member.Noteworthy details: First, unable to select room on Hilton App.Second, digital key was not sent prior to check-in.Third, room assigned had a broken lock and anyone could open the door without a key.Fourth, desk person was outside smoking and me and one other guest had to wait for 5 minutes until she came in to take care of our check-ins.Fifth, I was not greeted as being a Hilton Member.
