I ordered my chicken meal online and when I arrived, everything was ready for pick up on time! The fried chicken at this restaurant is phenomenal - so light and crispy! This will definitely become my go-to spot for fried chicken when I'm in Rock Hill. If you haven't tried it yet, you must give it a shot. What User doesn't like about Shrimp Boat:
I ordered a meal with mac and cheese yesterday. I also ordered a side of mac and cheese. When I called to add another item, the employee informed me that there was no mac and cheese available. I asked to cancel the order for the mac and cheese side, but she refused and insisted that I take a different side instead. For the little bite that I thought was not really good. I got his sandwich that was nothing but a bunker with wetar sauce and a piece of fish that was as dry as it was old and reheated. husband got teuflische krabbe and mushrooms and big daughter got chicken strips eating this all came to $30, which was about $10 per meal and fish sandwich definitiw was not worth $10 no salat, tomato or even pickles nothing we go anywhere else from now on.
I called in three (3) orders. All three were hot and fresh. The service was prompt.
Sitting here in the restaurant now, ... the manager taking the orders is to busy arguing with staff in the back she can't focus on placing orders. Actually cursed them out!! Told them to kiss her A . People arguing and yelling back and forth... I ordered 2 dinners and 2 drinks, she said my total was $47.. she rang me up for 4 dinners... Now the waitress Evelyn was great! She made sure we were ok and drinks full.. She even apologized for the commotion going on in the restaurant!
What has happened to Shrimp Boat? This is not the Shrimp Boat I know have ate here since 1979 I knew the original owner and this is not the way he cooked chicken. The batter was not the same and neither was the Cole slaw. So disappointed. Sure hope you go back to the original recipe or I will not be going back. With that being said the staff was great!!
