Fantastic as always. This cafe is unbeatable. The food is consistently delicious and freshly prepared. While some may call these types of places greasy spoons, the food here is anything but greasy. I ordered my favorite bacon, egg, and chips with thick toast. The chips are homemade and freshly cooked, and in my opinion, cannot be surpassed by any other cafe. My wife had sausages and onions in a tiger bread baguette, and she raved about it. Kudos to the women who run this place. The service is always friendly, and the food is top-notch. You won't find better than this.

The staff members are friendly, efficient, and pleasant. The restaurant is clean and has a cheerful atmosphere. It is definitely a great value for the money. Plus, it is one of the few places open as early as 7:00 a.m.
I have been a loyal customer of this restaurant for many years. Even though I used to live in Rayleigh, my husband and I now make the drive from Billericay whenever we crave a meal because we have not found a better café in this part of Essex. The homemade chips are a rare find these days and the food is always delicious and perfectly cooked. Our orders have never been messed up and we find the prices to be very reasonable. The staff is also welcoming to our young children.

Me and my family came across this cafe on our way to Rayleigh and we can’t recommend it enough! Very clean, freshly cooked food, great prices and very welcoming with a good menu variety! I 100% recommend brookside Cafe.
