We had a very authentic Italian experience at La Colina Ristorante in Rochester, Michigan. We started with the Burrata Caprese which had the best flavor, although a little small in size. Our next order was the Linguine Nere Allo Scoglio which is the ?squid ink linguine?. This was amazing. Very rich in flavor along with the seafood toppings. The Strozzapretti Norcina was also very flavorful. The lamb shank was ?fall-o... View all feedback.
What Mario Maroukian doesn't like about La Collina Italiano:
I can think of many restaurants I could spend well over $100 for for the 2 of of us for dinner (no alcohol) and enjoy it much more than this! This was an extremely overpriced, under quality and tasteless meal and overall, a terrible dining experience. My pasta dish tasted like the sauce was made from Campbell's Cream of Tomato Soup. The service was poor with our primary server was preoccupied with only one table whil... View all feedback.
My wife and I stumbled into this hidden gem of Rochester Hills. It is the best Italian food in town. The atmosphere transported us to a cafe adjacent to Via Cavour in Rome. The food was incredible with fresh ingredients, authentic dishes, and creative presentations. The only thing better than the restaurant was the personal touch and service. Our waiter Nick was attentive, informative, and engaged. He found that perfect balance of timing to keep us wined and dined while allowing our conversation to remain intimate. We had an early dinner but were delighted to catch the beginning of the live music. The vocalist filled the room with our favorite jazz standards. The volume allowed us to focus on our meal but elevated the entire experience. We will be returning very soon. We will be bringing friends and family. We are telling anyone who will listen; La Collina is a must-visit in Rochester Hills.

We finished with the Tiramisu! All in all I highly recommend experiencing La Colina yourself! ????
The food was expensive but delicious. I especially liked the vegetable soup and risotto. My husband liked lamb chop. The service was a little slow.
La Collina is a real culinary find. Diverse Italian menu. Wine list small but really good. Staff knowledgeable and accommodating. Excellent preparations. Best Italian in Rochester ... maybe in Oakland County ... maybe in Greater Detroit?
Had dinner for the first time there on a recommendation from a friend. Great experience, service was great as was the food. We had the veal, octopus salad, and lamb chops. All were fantastic. Definitely recommend for true Italian dining.
