Bunga Burger - Rochester
Bunga Burger
Description
At Bunga Burger, diners have experienced a spectrum of culinary delight and discontent. While some rave about the burgers, friendly service, and inviting atmosphere, others express disappointment over under-seasoned dishes, slow service, and issues with food preparation. Highlights include the Classic Burger and creative shakes, but inconsistencies in quality, particularly with the nachos and wings, mar the experience. Several patrons note the potential for improvement, urging a revisit for happy hour deals despite setbacks. Ultimately, Bunga Burger remains a hit-or-miss spot that might appeal to those willing to navigate its uneven dining experience.

Great date spot! I was very impressed by the calm, kind, helpful server. Our food was amazing! I recommend the Mac salad and the bourbon burger! Atmosphere was lovely. Not too loud, not too quiet.
The staff was extremely kind and attentive. The burgers were amazing, and the side were just as good. We will be going back soon.
This may not apply to everyone, but for me everything was a 5. People are nice service is great and this has to be the best garbage plate I’ve ever had.
I had been wanting to try this restaurant for a while and finally did. My wife and I were hoping to enjoy our meal, but we were quite disappointed. I ordered the steakhouse Bunga and my wife got the hot Tamale Bunga, both with fried chicken, Vienna bun, and house fries. Unfortunately, every dish was lacking in seasoning. The fried chicken was overcooked and tasted burnt. Despite being different burgers, they tasted the same. The steakhouse Bunga was supposed to have sauteed mushrooms and onions, but only had a small piece of mushroom and a couple of strands of onion. The hot Tamale Bunga had only a few slices of jalapeno. Neither dish came with the aioli they were supposed to have, so we had to ask for extra and were charged for it. The fries were bland and soggy, lacking crispiness. Additionally, the burgers did not come with lettuce or tomato, making them dry. Overall, the food was disappointing and overpriced. I would not recommend spending your money here.
My partner and I live near Bunga Burger but had never visited until one Wednesday when we were very hungry. We arrived just 15 minutes before the kitchen closed, but the server was welcoming. The interior was more spacious than we expected, with a good-sized bar area and gaming machines on the right. The server was attentive without rushing us. I ordered the Pineapple Jack Bunga with fries and a gluten-free bun, while my partner got the Bunga Bleu Burger with fries. I enjoyed my burger, with the gluten-free bun holding up well against the juicy patty cooked to a perfect medium rare. The meat had a great flavor, but I wished there were more pineapple slices as the flavor didn't come through enough. The fries were crispy and hit the spot. My partner said his burger was a 4 or 5-star meal. We are thrilled to have this restaurant close by, with delicious burgers and great service.
