Other than the limited menu options and slightly higher prices typical for campus dining, we still had a good experience at this restaurant. We look forward to our next visit and hope to see a wider selection on the menu. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Bluestone Chippy:
The meal was completely disappointing. I spent almost £18 on 2 orders of fish and chips and received soggy, frozen chips and fish that seemed to have been swimming not too long ago. Avoid this place for now. Luckily, Bluestone is a wonderful alternative that is overshadowed by this rip-off joint. I couldn't even finish the meal they served me. View all feedback.
Fish cooked to order very reasonable prices on food drinks we're a bit dear was the food was delicious
Great fish and chips on our first night, ordered and collected within 20mins and
Although the food was good we already are spoilt by our local chippy back home. I also have to reflect my score with the incredibly long wait after ordering (over half an hour). The portion sizes were very large though even though we ordered small everything and this meant a lot of waste. If you are expecting a lot of food then maybe this isn't such a bad thing but I hate throwing food away
Absolutely catastrophic system they have going on here. Absolutely tonnes of people waiting, regardless of when you go, in school holidays or out. 1 member of staff cooking individual orders one at a time. “Traditional fish and chips” that actually deep fry McCain oven chips (they don’t even hide the fact, the boxes are all stacked up). Small menu choice, burnt over greasy batter, poor flavour and incredibly slow service. Avoid... or get a delivery from elsewhere.
The service was good, but the menu was extremely limited, even more so than before the pandemic. Additionally, as a chip shop van, it was quite expensive.
