Fantastic food and friendly service in this small bistro on a quiet residential street. Easy parking in front and many outdoor seating to enjoy the weather. Prices are quite reasonable and the menu has a whole vegetarian section. The lime cake was the best I ever had, and the part was more than generous. What a local jewel! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Evie's Bistro And Bakery:
Great Bistro atmosphere. Once every 6 mos. I crave a hand Made hamburger. We both requested med-rare. Mine was med-Raw with a burnt bun. My date's was also under cooked, but not so raw. The quality of ground meat was VG therfore I ate mine. She ate half took half home microwaved for lunch next day. We will return for another meal try the near gourmet burgers again. My son is on the autism spectrum and tends to be shy and anxious in new environments, but Evie's came highly recommended, so we decided to give it a try. The restaurant is small and intimate, located on a peaceful residential street. The food was incredible—the Pacific Rim Flatbread was especially delicious—and the chocolate raspberry mousse cake was absolutely divine. However, the highlight of our visit was our server, Amanda. She took the time to engage with my son at his level, allowed him to play with her beautiful bracelets, and made him feel at ease. She provided excellent guidance and support throughout our meal.
I previously ordered a cake from Evie's, and while the cakes themselves are tasty, the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. I wanted to order a cake for my daughter's graduation and communicated my preferences. The staff member confirmed that she could accommodate my request and quoted a price, which I agreed to. However, when I mentioned that I would like to come in tomorrow, she interrupted me, insisting that I needed to pay today. I believe customers should have the opportunity to finalize details without being rushed into immediate payment, but she quickly stated that she didn’t have time for that and pressured me to either place the order or walk away.
EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Every time we visit Roanoke, we make sure to stop by this charming neighborhood bakery/cafe on 4th St. The coconut cake is absolutely worth the 140-mile drive! Everything else is fantastic too, but my main attraction has always been the coconut cake.
Wonderful food and welcoming service at this cozy bistro located on a peaceful residential street. There's convenient parking available right in front, along with ample outdoor seating to savor the nice weather. The prices are very reasonable, and there’s a dedicated section on the menu for vegetarian dishes. The key lime pie was the best I've ever tasted, and the portion size was more than generous. What a true local gem!
You have to order this cake! I picked this bakery without seeing or tasting anything beforehand. I ordered a Lemon Chiffon sheet cake on a Tuesday, and it was ready by Friday. The lemon zest is just right, the cake is light and fluffy, and the icing is wonderfully creamy. It definitely serves the number of people as advertised, and the price is far better than any other bakery in Roanoke. I've tried various cakes and cupcakes around town, and this place surpasses all of them. Everyone at the party wanted to know the name and phone number of this bakery. It's simply amazing!
