Very easy to read and follow menu, which is not common amoungst most mexican restaurants that usually have 45 menu combos and no pictures. The restaurant itself is gorgeous and the environment is electric. I loved the lunch fajitas that I ordered. The chips come to the table hot and with two types of salsa. What Susan D doesn't like about El Rodeo:
We arrived at about 4:45. The person who seated us was smiling and friendly, but our waiter was unsmiling and almost rude. He was efficient but not at all friendly. The food was good, but at 6:15, after we paid our check, the waiter asked us to leave because they needed our table. There wasn't anything apologetic or kind about the delivery. I will never go back. The food here is fantastic—fresh, quick, and served hot! The Taco Salad was outstanding; the tortilla shell was just right, and they generously added toppings. I highly recommend this place for an authentic Mexican dining experience.
El Rodeo consistently delivers delicious food. My only issue is that every time I order cheese dip to accompany my Arroz Con Pollo, it never gets included! Please make sure to remember it. I noticed it costs extra, and I can clearly see it on the receipt you attached to my bag.
It wouldnt be Taco Tuesday if I didnt have the best Mexican in Roanoke delivered! Thank you El Rodeo! Delicious as always! Also the taco salad is always packaged so nice!

The Arroz Con Pollo was quite disappointing. The rice was undercooked, there was no cheese dip, and the amount of chicken was minimal. It felt more like a veggie dish than anything else. On a positive note, the Large Salsa and Small White Salsa were fantastic; they really do have the best sauces in town. Unfortunately, the quality of their food hasn't been the same since COVID. Overall, I would prefer a good Mexican meal over great salsas. Save your money.
