However, others rave about this place being a must-visit in Roanoke. One reviewer praises the upscale menu with a good variety of mains, mentioning favorites like Steak Diane and Prime Filet, as well as the She Crab soup. The pricing is considered reasonable for the quality of the food. Another diner warns against ordering fish but highly recommends the prime rib. On the other hand, fans of Coach Four appreciate the great food, service, and value, with one reviewer even calling it the best Roanoke restaurant. The restaurant is said to have an old school charm with tableside salad service, perfectly cooked entrees, and excellent prime rib. The atmosphere is described as reminiscent of supper clubs from the past, allowing for easy conversation among diners. Overall, it seems that Coach Four has its strengths and weaknesses, but depending on what you order, it could be a hit or miss experience.
Very good prime rib dinner with an extremely reasonable price. Old school ambience throughout. Servers and other patrons very friendly. Will go back to try other menu items.
A must go for Roanoke. This place is pretty unusual for Roanoke. It is a slightly upscale menu but has a good variety of all the mains..ie meat, fish and poultry. The service here ha salways been great and I recognize that most of the folks there are still there after all this time. Primarily I have had steal entrees and have always been pleased. The two favorites are Steak Diane and the Prime Filet. The She Crab soup is a winner as well. Salads are served from a cart that allows you to choose the toppings and a good variety is available. Best I can tell this is a family owned place. Pricing is actually very reasonable for the quality of the food. Look to try and park maybe in the back as that is one obstacle that they have.
