I was immediately addressed by a soft spoken lady, who was later also my waitress and told to sit anywhere. I ordered the chicken fingers and Greek salad, and a Coke. The chicken fingers were huuuuge and delicious, the best I've had at a restaurant in a while. The Greek salad wasn't great. There was a piece of brown lettuce.. Which made it hard for me to enjoy the rest of the salad. The interior looks like it has never been updated, and I don't particularly care about decor.. But it didn't seem the cleanest in there. Perhaps that's not fair to say, and it was the dingy setting that is affecting my perception. I would return for the pizza that I saw a neighbouring table order. It looked/smelled delicious.

Okay......for those of you people living in or around the Winnipeg area, I highly reccomend eating here at least once. I just returned from dinner and had the most remarkable burger this city has to offer! Sorry V.J. 's) The atmosphere as well as the service was superb and instantly made me feel right at home. At no time during my meal was I made to feel rushed or uncomfortable for taking my time selecting my meal. I had the double mushroom, bacon cheeseburger platter came with an excellent coleslaw and fries and my dinner guest had the largest portion of liver that I have ever seen served outside of eating competitions, with the beef barley soup, which again was a very large portion. Both meals were cooked to perfection and came loaded with toppings, i.e. fried mushrooms, onions, etc... I have eaten at every hole in the wall and top rated restaraunt that this city has to offer, but for our meals to total under 50$ with coffee) this is by far the best spot in town.......While their menu is slightly limited as you would expect from a family restaraunt, from what I could see, what they do make, they make extremely well and as I mentioned earlier, the service was not only friendly and personable but I was immediately made to feel as if I were eating at a dear friends house. This cannot go without mentioning the obviously cared for fauna that adornes nearly every square foot of the restaraunt and its windows. If you are a foodie like me and live in or around the area, I cannot stress how great of a spot this is....by far the best bang for your buck in this city. I look forward to going back for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
