T... read more My experience at Subway has exceeded my expectations. I really enjoy their warm, tasty soups, especially the chicken noodle and my favorite, broccoli cheddar. Their sandwiches are also great—flavorful and healthy!

I asked if it would be okay to sit for a while since I had ordered a meal, and I was told it was fine. After checking on the vehicle, I returned, purchased a drink, and went back to my spot in the corner. Then, a man who appeared to be a father figure, dressed in street clothes rather than a uniform, came over angrily and told me to unplug my phone after only 15 minutes. I complied immediately. The store was nearly empty, with only takeout customers coming and going. About an hour later, I was abruptly told to leave because I had exceeded the time limit. I offered to buy another meal if there was a time limit, but I was refused. The entire staff, who appeared to be a family from India or Pakistan, began berating me, saying they could call the police for loitering after 15 minutes. The man who seemed to be the father raised his voice and said he was calling the police. I responded that if the police spoke to me, I would respond back. This confrontation started simply because I asked about buying another meal due to the time limit. I can only assume that when I offered to purchase more food, they had no response other than yelling that I had been there too long. The store has cameras if they wish to dispute this account. I wonder if a non-Black patron spending money and offering to spend more would be treated with such hostility—just for breathing. I plan to file a complaint with the BBB as well as Subway’s corporate office. Additionally, they claimed the restroom was out of order, and there were no COVID mandates in place. The father figure also said I could buy more food to go, which I feel is their preferred approach toward Black customers. I explained everything at the start and was told it would be okay, yet I was still given a to-go bag.

That said, I believe their menu could be improved by including more fresh, vegan-friendly choices. Offering fewer bread options or alternatives like cauliflower bread would be a great addition. Aside from that, keep up the excellent work!

Unfortunately, this isn't the first time I've encountered such poor service since they changed their management.
