Palenque Kitchen - Riverside

We had a pleasant experience at this restaurant and plan on returning in the future. The service was excellent.

We went there for late dinner and drinks. Food was great! Even though they were closing we never felt we were being kicked out. Good experience overall.

I recently dined at this restaurant for the first time, and it definitely won't be my last! The menu offers high-quality options, all of which were excellent. Our server was attentive and provided helpful explanations of the ingredients in our chosen dishes.

The food here was quite good definitely a 4 star rating. We had the esquite, ceviche and carnitas tacos. The portion sizes are on the smaller side and the beans and rice were bland. The cocktails were refreshing and on point. Our server, Sally, was very attentive and had great suggestions. The price point is high this is a high rent area of Riverside so know that going in. What turned me off is that we were offered a free dessert in exchange for a high review on Yelp. THIS inflates ratings and I disagree with that practice.

Sally was a B-word! Sally is not worried about getting fired! Sally thinks she can add extra charges for no reason! Sally was rude and has no experience with customer service although she is well over age. She doesn’t deserve a job or kindness!
