Westgate River Ranch Resort Rodeo

Unfortunately, on the morning of the presentation, my wife was attending church at 9 a.m., and we had plans for the rest of the day. They did try to accommodate us, but our schedule didn't allow it. I offered to stay for the presentation on my own (as I was genuinely interested), but they immediately used the promise of the free golf cart as leverage to insist both of us attend. This caused tensions to rise quickly. I never asked for the golf cart and wouldn't have minded paying for it, but the way the situation was handled could use improvement. While the paperwork did state that both of us needed to attend, a friendlier approach would have made a big difference. I also noticed that many of the staff seemed indifferent and weren't particularly friendly, although a few team members did show genuine enthusiasm (most of the tour guides were great). To Westgate, I would recommend focusing on better training for employees, as we're paying a premium, and we expect at least basic customer service with a smile. In the end, I was charged for the golf cart, which was disappointing.

When I asked for some sort of compensation, Lisa, the manager, refused to acknowledge that we weren’t aware there would be no water involved in the swamp ride. She kept bringing up the vehicle’s use in other activities like mountain rides. We had no idea we were supposed to do our own research before spending money on a swamp ride that didn't take us into a swamp. The issue isn't solely about the activity itself, but rather how management handled the situation. Lisa's demeanor was very condescending and snarky. Given the state of the economy, it’s surprising that they wouldn’t prioritize keeping their customers satisfied.

I was really impressed with this beautiful RV resort—what a hidden gem! This was our first trip with our RV, and visiting during the week turned out to be perfect. We had a fantastic site (#2) underneath a tree. The property is impeccably maintained. There are endless activities for young families, and plenty to keep us older folks busy as well. We brought our electric bikes, and there are so many wonderful places to ride with stunning scenery. Plus, there's a very nice chophouse on the premises!

It?s our happy place! Beautiful! Relaxed! Fun! We love visiting all of our favorite little animal friends at the petting zoo! Also had a blast in the escape room! Highly recommend as an alternative to the crowded, exhausting, fast paced theme parks!

The grounds room very nice. Check in S/B a nice experience. Was supposed to be at 4 didn't get room until 7:30. Said would text me, did not receive. The dudes were not friendly and even condescending, the girls however seemed willing to help. Different prices for rooms on different days. I booked mine 2 weeks before my son and his was cheaper. Same with rodeo prices. In office more than at gate. Need to be consistant. Restaurant was booked. Said they were over booked and under staffed. Thank goodness we brought food with us. Many others complained as well.
