My brother and I stopped here for a pizza dinner. The waitress was very friendly and welcoming. The pizza margarita was excellent and enough for 2 to share. My brother had the dark beer, which he said was very good. View all feedback.
What Paula Jürgens doesn't like about Restaurant La Taverne Alsacienne:
After taking quite a while to find somewhere to have a late lunch, my friend and I found this cafe. The place is quite small, but quaint inside. I have to say, maybe because it had taken us some time to find a place to eat, I wasn't that impressed with the menu. I settled on the Baeckeoffe, and my friend, the Tourte Munster. I have never had Baeckeoffe before, so I am not sure whether what I had is typical, but I fou... View all feedback.
Since most restaurants were closed or limited kitchen on the midday, this was really full. so little time for personal service. our choice was really basic asacienne, tarte flambee monsters. simple, but delicious. with local Pinot-Gris. reliability!
The pizza floor was burned. that was full of sauce. we were with six people and got only four broth if I fell that broth, the floor would break. a new pizza
As their name clearly indicates this restaurant on the main walking street of Riquewihr specializes in local, alsatian cuisine and you won’t be disappointed trying their tarte flambee. Local wines are also offered in a large variety but do specify if you want dry or...sweet options. And your life will be easier ordering if you speak some French.
Ate here when we stayed in Riquewihr. I had flammekuchen and Chris had a rosti, also had a local beer each and a glass of gerwurztraminer each. Lovely food, the rosti was huge and could probably feed 2 people! Would recommend it for lunch or...dinner.
Delicious wine and food: we had dinner here and tried some typical Alsatian sparkling wine, Cremant, both dry and rosè and it was excellent! I personally got myself an Aperol (excuse me, I'm Italian and it was one of the best one I ever had....We ate rosties, also typical of the region, and we loved it! Friendly staff, good prices and big food portions, nice position on Riquewihr's main street. Highly recommended!
