I was disappointed with the pulled pork. It didn't taste like BBQ. It was more like oven baked or slow cooked and bland and flavorless. The beans and the bun were good though. We've had brisket across the US, and this was surprisingly the best we've had. To be honest, we were headed to Roadhouse for pizza, and they were closed. Our son said J's was recommended by his friends in Madison who went there. A little resistant to go, we went, and we were not disappointed. We will definitely be back. The rub on their brisket is out of this world!!! The service was also top-notch!!! I highly recommend it!!! Service: Dine in
A large group went here after a pickleball tournament. Jen and her staff were able to accommodate all of us and provided exceptional service. The food was delicious with very generous portion sizes. Read full review for update! Google shows them open on Sunday. Took a 2 hour ride to go here only to find out they are closed. Only open a couple days a week per their recording Time for the business to jump into 1994 and update their information. Update: owner contacted me in short order and explained the issues with Google updating key information they supply. I will certainly take her at her word and look forward to revisiting the establishment when I am back in the area. Thank you, Jen, for reaching out. It makes all the difference!
I ordered catering here for a family reunion. The food was phenomenal everyone raved about it and they were on time, professional and very reasonably priced!! I have already recommended to friends and will continue to do so! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20
Hubs and I love good BBQ. We’ve heard great things about this place so we took a drive today. It was simply WOW!!!!! Their selection of smoked meats is outstanding. I had pulled pork, hubs had brisket. Flavorful, perfectly smoked, and fresh. Sides we chose were Cole slaw, Mac n cheese, and beans. All were outstanding. This place has been in Ripon 10 years, how have we not been here?!?! Worth the drive from Oshkosh!!! As a bonus, Ripon is an adorable small town with a great selection of cute shops and artisan stores. Perfect spot for a day trip! Try J’s BBQ, you will be so glad you did!

If you're in search of delicious food and a cozy atmosphere in Downtown Ripon, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit. Although it's on the smaller side, Ripon offers a diverse range of dining choices. It's an excellent place for a romantic date night!

Having spent a total of 18 years living in North Carolina, Texas, and Nashville, I can say with confidence that the BBQ at this restaurant is the best I have ever tasted.
The food at this downtown Ripon restaurant is excellent, and the location couldn't be more convenient. Ripon is surprisingly vibrant, offering plenty of activities to enjoy. It's an ideal place for a date night.
I was in Ripon and wanted to explore something other than the typical fast food options. After a quick drive downtown, I discovered J's BBQ. It provided a distinctive and enjoyable dining experience, featuring delicious food and welcoming service.
