La Grotta Trattoria - RIOMAGGIORE

The staff presented me with individually wrapped rice cakes while the others at the table got bread. I ordered only an entree (baked fish of the day w/ tomatoes olives and capers). They also had a delicious looking seafood risotto on the menu that was GF. My husband ordered an appetizer — the octopus. I’d been told earlier that the octopus appetizer was gluten free but when I clarified with the server that it was in fact GF, she smiled and said that she could not confirm that it would not have been cross-contaminated because she only entered my entree into the system as “certified GF”. I opted to not eat my husband’s appetizer. However, this interaction raised my confidence that the people in this establishment knew what they were doing. I am extremely sensitive and did not have a reaction. Recommend this place for celiacs!

No gluten free food. They kindly recomend us another restaurant. When we got to the other restaurant they didn’t have Gluten free food.

The risotto is delicious! Without too much it was a great introduction to the Cinque terra seafood without a strong fishy taste.

Very good raw materials, processed with wisdom . very kind staff and available to the different needs. not cheap but given the experience the game is worth the candle really!

Local located in characteristic location, good service and inviting dishes to the view and the palate, resonant of the location in highly tourist resort.
