Vallarta Mexican - Ringgold
Vallarta Mexican
Description
Bright, recently refurbished spot in Ringgold offers bold, spicy salsa, standout tamales, fajitas and well-presented Mexican plates. Friendly, attentive servers often shine—able to handle large groups—though service and food consistency can vary: some guests report off flavors, overcooked items or brusque staff. Takeout and dine-in with plentiful strip-mall parking; prices drew at least one complaint. A casual, clean neighborhood gem that’s worth a try if you like flavorful, slightly adventurous Tex‑Mex, but expect occasional unevenness.

It's easy to respond with "you're welcome" when a customer expresses gratitude. While our service was acceptable, our waitress hardly communicated with us throughout our visit. She barely spoke to us except when taking our order, and her overall demeanor felt impolite. The food was fairly good, but I chose not to leave a tip because of the service. My wife even noticed her roll her eyes at us as we left. We were polite and didn't voice any complaints, so it baffles me why some people can't respond when greeted or thanked.
My husband and I have been here a few different times and previously the food was really good. Tonight though the burrito I ordered had beans that were bad, which made the whole burrito taste bad then the mushrooms were over cooked and the rice, Tortillas and chips all tasted off. Like maybe the oil was dirty or something but it was bad. I couldn't eat my food. I don't typically complain about my food but this was so bad it was making me gag. I informed the waitress when she came back. She told the other server and he asked the issue so I advised as I stated above about my burrito and he said he was gonna go check with the cook because they have been serving the same beans all day. Which in hindsight, seriously the same beans all day? Well that comment made my husband upset and so he informed him about the other issues I also started above and told him that his attitude was bad as well. They took my order off the bill and it was the biggest waste of 30 bucks ever. Definitely never going back to this restaurant.
I visited this restaurant for the first time today with my mom, and we had a wonderful experience. Enrique was our host and server, and he was absolutely amazing. We enjoyed chatting with him and loved the napkin roses he made for us. He even crafted a heart out of a dollar bill for my mom. He had no idea that we had a rough week, but he really brightened our day! The food was excellent, and Enrique was truly a gem!
The waitresses are gringos, they speak little Spanish but they defend themselves but the food is delicious.
Decent food. I had El pastor tacos. The tacos were good but the "salsa ' that came with the tacos was so spicy it made me nauseous. My mom got taco salad that was seasoned well swimming, between the beef queso and Pico it was like a soup. Our waitress said she was new and she didn 't know much about the menu. It doesn 't look or feel like a Mexican restaurant Parking: It 's in a strip mall with a grocery store so there 's plenty of free parking
