Cafe Depot Rimouski

On our way back to Ontario after a 5-hour drive, my English-speaking spouse and I, who speaks French, stopped at this restaurant. I have dietary restrictions and sensitivity to certain foods due to gastric issues. We asked the staff if the club wrap contained mayo and if there were gluten-free options available. The female staff member referred to me as "sunshine," which I found offensive. It is unacceptable to make fun of someone and assume they won't understand you. Mocking an individual who is trying to eat in a way that is suitable for their body, especially a pregnant person like myself, is incredibly disrespectful. I am trying to feed my baby and stay well for our trip. Food sensitivities should be taken seriously, and the staff should be educated on these matters. Gluten-free options should be available for those with dietary restrictions.

Definitely worth a visit, the food and drinks are great. The only downside is the slow service, due to their popularity.

The breakfast at this restaurant is fantastic and the staff is extremely friendly. They exceeded my expectations in every way. The homemade jam is absolutely delicious! I highly recommend trying the ham omelette, it was cooked perfectly. The lattes are also amazing. I appreciate that they offer milk alternatives as well.
