Broulim's - Rigby
Broulim's
Description
A small-town favorite, Broulims offers a warm deli, wide ethnic and local selections, and convenient parking, but inconsistent produce and mixed service temper the appeal. Prices trend higher than big-box rivals, and space can feel cramped; some customers praise friendly, helpful staff and clean aisles, while others report rude interactions and workplace issues. For quick runs and specialty finds—particularly tortillas and deli items—it’s a solid choice, but bargain hunters and produce purists may want to shop carefully.

We love the people working in Broulim's Pharmacy in Rigby. Great service with HUGE smile!!
I have been a long time happy customer since the Rigby Broulims store opened. This review is not for the store but for a woman employee who worked at customer service whom I have never seen or met and I shop at the Rigby Broulims at least 2 or 3 times a week. I bought a beef roast for our Christmas dinner at the Ammon store. The butcher there suggested which roast would be best for crock pot and tenderness. I cooked the roast for 6 hours mostly on low. The roast was so tough you couldn’t even put a fork through it. And it had a bad taste. I took the cooked roast back to the Rigby Store after Christmas. I told the employee who was working customer service that I could not find my receipt but I had the bag with the price on it. $22. She took a slight look in the bag and said very rudely we don’t take perishables back. I tried to explained to her that this was a tough roast and I paid alot for. Her only words to me were stated again that we don’t take perishables back. She never apologized for the inconvenience. This is the first time I have come across such a rude employee. She made me so angry I told her I wouldn’t shop here anymore. She said something back to me about not caring if I shopped there again. I couldn’t believe it!! I have taken meat back before to the Rigby store and the employees at customer service are always so nice. They even called for the butcher who cut me a more tender slice of meat.
What a fantastic little store! I was truly impressed. Even though it's a smaller country shop, the staff was exceptionally friendly.
This Broulim’s (Rigby) used have the very best gluten-free section ever! I raved about it and told everybody to come to the store because of it. And it was so convenient to those of us that needed it. And then you did away with it! Your gluten-free section was the reason that I drove out of town to go to this store! And it breaks my heart that it’s no longer there. They say that they just move things around the store. But you didn’t you got rid of most of the good items, like the gluten-free crusts and the breadsticks and the Brazilian bites and the best, the gluten-free corn dogs!
Never had issues until my daughter started working here (she has quit since). She had been bullied by coworkers, behind her back, and the other night I experienced this first hand. I had to make a last minute trip before the store closed, and ended up staying a few minutes past 11. When I walked past the customer service desk, I heard the girls behind the desk talking badly about another coworker. As bad as I felt to make the workers stay later, I stopped feeling that way after hearing this. It’s infuriating how your employees think they can say anything they want as soon as the store is closed, and I KNOW management has done nothing to stop them, either, because it’s been happening since my daughter worked there. It’s disgusting that you promote this happy, friendly environment, while letting workers like this trash talk people who thought they were friends. I’m so glad my daughter left this awful store, and I hope the employee those girls were bullying does the same. I’ve had no issues with the store until finding out how awful the environment is for employees. I won’t be coming back. I’d rather drive half an hour to buy a single loaf of bread than give this company any more money to treat people (that they claim to care about so much) so badly.
