Description
Nestled off the beaten path, this local breakfast-and-lunch spot charms with friendly service, rustic décor and standout dishes—corned beef hash, patty melt, french toast and a kid’s menu—plus free parking and clean restrooms. But experiences vary: meals sometimes arrive cold or underdone, biscuits and hash can be disappointing, and waits or pricing feel excessive. Overall it’s a welcoming, casual choice for families and road-trippers if you prioritize hearty classics and a neighborhood vibe, but expect occasional inconsistency.

We had a wonderful breakfast at this restaurant. The food and service were outstanding. Parking was a breeze with plenty of free options available. Plus, they offer a fantastic kids' menu, making it a great choice for families.
Went here on a recommendation of the La Quinta deck hostess. It 's a little off the beaten path, but with several cars/trucks in the parking lot, it seemed like a good bet. The clientele seemed to be a slice of the local population with mostly middle aged and older folks, but no one else I could readily identify as tourists like ourselves. I would describe the decor is rustic with basic booths and tables. Tabletops were kitschy un-milled/uneven wood covered in clear epoxy. We had breakfast and the food was all good (My waffles seemed a little chewy, but I 'm not gonna knock any stars off for that opinion) Seemed like they had plenty of wait staff and they were all friendly and efficient. Will definitely go back next time we 're in town.
While traveling to Steamboat Springs, we stumbled upon this restaurant that seemed perfect for a lunch break. I’d like to give a shout-out to this great local spot, known for its tasty food and welcoming service. My wife ordered a lunch salad, which was fresh and flavorful. I tried the patty melt, and it was amazing, along with the fries that accompanied it. The staff was very friendly, and the restrooms were clean. What more could you wish for during a road trip lunch? We’ll definitely be stopping by again next time we’re in the area!
This place used to be awesome. I don’t know what changed. The last two times we’ve been here for breakfast we were disappointed. I know we’re there on father’s day, but half of their dining room was empty with only one group waiting to be sat. We sat for nearly 10 minutes before we even got drinks. Waited another while before someone came over to get our food order. Waited about 25 minutes for the food to come out and when it does, there’s no acknowledgement of the wait time, no questions asked to us if we need any additional stuff, and the plates looked like they were thrown together in 5 minutes. No care for the food they’re serving. It doesn’t even come out hot. Ordered an omelet and it was smaller than the portion of potatoes that came with it. Potatoes looked and tasted like they were microwaved. The french toast was good. Burrito was subpar. I didn’t get the salsa on the side that I asked for. This place is dedicated to breakfast and lunch. It’s baffling how bad the breakfast has been two visits in a row. I want to love this place because it’s local, but the service and the food just don’t cut it. Save your money and go to Village Inn.
